The many wonders of North Devon lie waiting to be explored from this fantastic Braunton base. Situated a gentle half-mile stroll from the centre of the village and just 3 miles from the ever-impressive Saunton Sands, you’re well-positioned for beach days, coastal hikes and relaxing evenings enjoying Braunton’s pubs and restaurants. Made for families or larger groups of friends, the accommodation invites eight guests to stay and is also dog friendly. Discover excellent features including the purpose-built cinema room with a projector, reclining seats and beanbags – a great place to while away an evening after a day out on the waves.

Benefiting from an upside-down layout, you’ll appreciate the spaciousness and superb views of the communal areas on the first floor. A sprawling lounge/diner offers more than enough space to relax together, whilst a secondary snug sits next door with board games to make use of throughout your stay. Get cooking in the kitchen and prepare to dine either indoors or out, exiting the property via the conservatory for mealtimes on the elevated terrace. Whilst you’ll find one bedroom, a double with an en-suite, here on the first floor, the remaining three bedrooms are laid out downstairs with a family bathroom, an en-suite and a utility room adjacent.

Saunton Sands is well known for surfing, and a surf school just 3 miles away offers lessons or equipment hire for any who may like it. Braunton is also home to the Museum of British Surfing (0.5 miles), a place to tour if the swell conditions aren’t quite right. The nearby towns of Barnstaple (5.5 miles) and Ilfracombe (8 miles) are each worth a visit, the latter home to the fascinating Tunnels Beaches which are utterly scenic on rainy and sunny days. There’s also a harbour here offering sea safaris and boat trips around Lundy Island.

Fab place to stay, we loved the livong areas upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. Was lovely to sit and eat whilst enjoying the views. We were very touched and appreciated the little guestures left for us.
