Switch off and recharge in this idyllic cottage in the picturesque coastal village of Lynmouth, within Exmoor National Park. Sleeping two guests, this romantic retreat is perfect for couples who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, with spectacular coastal, countryside, and woodland walks directly from the property. From the cottage it’s easy to take day trips to the Victorian town of Ilfracombe and the glorious beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe (both within 25 miles).

The cosy cottage seamlessly blends contemporary decor and design with fascinating original features, such as the shiplap boarding that runs throughout the property. Each room is decorated in calming tones, and you’ll find a plethora of creature comforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The inviting lounge/diner is a welcome sanctuary after an exhilarating coastal walk, with its array of sumptuous seating, Smart TV, and a warming wood burner-effect electric fire. There’s also a cute bistro table by the window for sharing romantic dinners, which you can whip up in the separate kitchen. When it’s time for bed, retire to the elegant double bedroom, which is decorated in hues to reflect the natural landscape. A refreshing shower room rounds off this delightful bolthole. What a stunning little cottage, ideally located, tastefully decorated and was an absolute lifesaver during last weeks heatwave because the cottage stayed lovely and cool, which was very welcome on our return from our adventures every day. Will definitely be recommending this accommodation to our family and friends. Thanks for an amazing stay

Absolutely beautiful place, with literally everything you need (and more the human and doggy treats were a lovely touch!). Immaculately clean, just perfect!!! Dont let the lack of parking stop you - theres on street parking just down the road, three very close car parks and for off loading your bags etc you can literally stop directly opposite theRead more property for the 5 mins itll take you, and then move your car to a parking space. Owners were very accommodating, letting us know we could have an early check in and also letting us take two dogs. Despite some reviews, there were two adults, one small dog and one large dog and it was a perfect size. We fell in love with The Bolt and Lynmouth at New Year was fantastic and very pretty. Hide

An immaculately presented cottage which has a mix of cosy and modern vibes. Superbly equipped in every room. Very comfortable stay, and thoroughly enjoyed the location so close to the seaside. The dog enjoyed her treats (and we enjoyed the 'human treats" too!); it's those little touches that make a huge difference. Will be looking to re-book. ThankRead more you. Hide
