Switch off and recharge in this idyllic cottage in the picturesque coastal village of Lynmouth, within Exmoor National Park. Sleeping two guests, this romantic retreat is perfect for couples who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, with spectacular coastal, countryside, and woodland walks directly from the property. From the cottage it’s easy to take day trips to the Victorian town of Ilfracombe and the glorious beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe (both within 25 miles).

The cosy cottage seamlessly blends contemporary decor and design with fascinating original features, such as the shiplap boarding that runs throughout the property. Each room is decorated in calming tones, and you’ll find a plethora of creature comforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The inviting lounge/diner is a welcome sanctuary after an exhilarating coastal walk, with its array of sumptuous seating, Smart TV, and a warming wood burner-effect electric fire. There’s also a cute bistro table by the window for sharing romantic dinners, which you can whip up in the separate kitchen. When it’s time for bed, retire to the elegant double bedroom, which is decorated in hues to reflect the natural landscape. A refreshing shower room rounds off this delightful bolthole. There is no outside space, but with Lynmouth’s pretty harbour and beach on your doorstep you’ll have plenty of choice when it comes to your morning stroll.

Lynmouth is a picture-postcard village with rows of charming fishing cottages, quaint boutiques, and friendly pubs. Enjoy a relaxing stroll around the harbour, watching the colourful boats bobbing on the water, or hop on the iconic cliff railway to visit the olde-worlde village of Lynton. From Lynton, a short walk along the coast brings you to the dramatic landscape of Valley of Rocks, known for its wild goats that precariously perch on the cliff edge.

This property has been lovingly fitted out to a high standard, there is plenty of heating as and when required but no parking adjacent to the property means that you have to park some distance away and no outside seating is something that can be a bind on a nice day

The property was easy to find. The cottage was extremely comfortable and homely. The stable door in the kitchen was really useful for letting fresh air in and listening to the nearby river also keeping our dog safe. The cottage owners thought of everything you may need to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I would thoroughly recommend this pRead moreroperty for people wanting a relaxing stress free break Hide
