I always think that reviews are really useful when booking holidays as it gives personal insight into someones stay. The cottage was fantastic, spotless and really well stocked (nice to stay somewhere which has the essentials waiting for you), with the added bonus of a welcome pack of some sweet treats. The cottage is really comfortable and has eveRead morerything you need. We made use of the highchair and stair gate during our visit, as well as multiple uses of the washing machine and tumble dryer thanks to holidaying in Devon in October with children. I recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a central location in Devon, its 30 minutes to Bude and Launceston and the A30 are in easy reach if wanting to travel further afield. I would happily stay here again. Hide

Somerdale is a lovely, cozy and comfortable cottage set in peaceful surroundings with beautiful views. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Everything was provided for, for example hand wash, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, washing machine capsules, kitchen roll etcRead more, we did not need to buy anything apart from some extra toilet rolls. The beds and sofas are very comfortable and the linen and towels are of good quality. The welcome pack was generous, consisting of scones, jam, clotted cream and a lemon drizzle cake which was very much appreciated and enjoyed by us all. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and bread was also provided and again very much appreciated. We did not meet the owners but I spoke to Lyn prior to our arrival and she was very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We had a wonderful holiday and we would certainly stay again at Somerdale. We highly recommend. 5* Hide
