Take a break in this beautiful former fisherman''s cottage and you''ll fall in love with its characterful features which can be found in every room. From exposed beams and brick to rustic wooden doors, you can tell that this property has been restored with love to create an idyllic base for family holidays. What''s more, two dogs are welcome to come and stay with you in the village of Appledore. Boasting a selection of brilliant independent eateries, and walking trails on your doorstep, Appledore has a lot to offer without you needing to travel far.

At the heart of this holiday home is the enchanting living room with its fantastic feature fireplace of exposed stone, complete with a wood burner-effect gas fire for the colder months of the year. Two sumptuous sofas sit around a TV for film nights, whilst the generously sized coffee table is ideal for board game competitions. Next door, the country-style kitchen is full of light thanks to the patio doors and overhead window creating a wonderful spot to cook and dine with your loved ones surrounded by calming neutral tones. Upstairs the master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed with beautiful beams and tasteful decor, as well as an en-suite shower room for added privacy. From here you can also access the balcony for a morning coffee with a view. The two further bedrooms share use of the family shower room, comprising a chic double with in-built storage and a neutral twin. The garden area is a courtyard style with a table and chairs to be enjoyed when the sun is shining.

Just 5 miles away you''ll find the nearest beach which remains dog-friendly all year around, Instow, with beautiful views and a local ice cream van which visits daily during the spring and summer months. From here, join a stretch of the Tarka Trail towards Barnstaple, or for more of a challenge, pack a backpack and venture along the South West Coast Path to the charming fishing village of Clovelly. If you''re looking to relax, Clovelly can also be reached by car which is well worth it for the pretty views and unique experience of the car-free town where donkeys and sleds are the preferred form of transport.

A lovely cottage right in the heart of Appledore we loved being positioned right up one of the lovely little streets just a street away from the front quay. It was very tastefully decorated with lots of nice accessories definitely home from home. Lounge room area was very comfortable and spacious for those chilling in nights. We didnt do a lot of cRead moreooking as we took advantage of the local eateries but the kitchen is very well equipped. Not far from the local car park which we were able to purchase a weekly parking ticket and never had any issues finding a parking space. We did find a festival type trolley under the stairs towards the end of the holiday so that helped with carrying luggage back and forth from the cottage to car park. Hide

A charming cottage in the centre of Appledore and close to the quay. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. Due to the propertys age and different levels there are quite a few steps you need to watch out, caught us out a few times.
