Enjoy a Devon stay with more than a touch of luxury when you book this gorgeous sanctuary in Instow. Sleeping six guests, the bright, airy three-bedroom cottage offers sumptuous accommodation for families or friends wishing to bring a pet along too. With a large, enclosed garden, games room and hot tub, it is less than 350 metres from the sandy beach and just across the River Torridge from pretty Appledore, which can be reached by ferry in the warmer months.

Make your way into this immaculate abode, unlacing your walking boots or slipping off your flip-flops in the hall as you pass. Choose between the cosy snug or the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to unwind together after your day out. Each room has a Smart TV for alternative viewing. Pull the bi-folding doors open to the garden from the main living area to create seamless indoor/outdoor living. Whip up delicious meals in the chic kitchen and gather round the table to dine. A utility room and a WC are also downstairs. All three bedrooms are upstairs. These include a king-size, with views out across the water, an en-suite shower room and a Smart TV. A super-king, with a bed that can be arranged as singles if requested at the time of booking, also has a Smart TV. The twin bedroom and family bathroom are at first-floor level too. Indulge in the exceptional outdoor facilities as often as possible. Bubble in the hot tub, play pool or watch the Smart TV in the games room and cook out on the BBQ. There is parking here for two cars,a small garage, plus additional spaces subject to availability. (Garage not available from January 2028).

Pack a picnic and venture 5.5 miles to the beautiful long beach at Westward Ho! Plan a day out to Exmoor National Park, 17 miles away.

One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in, everything clean and tidy and plenty of different areas to relax. Location excellent for easy access to beach and restaurants.

The best accommodation we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot over the last twenty years. Absolutely spotless, everything you needed was there. Facilities were first class and the location was fantastic. Great enclosed garden and very spacious inside. Can highly recommend.

High Beach is an absolutely lovely property. Everything was clean and tidy. The house is large and room and very well equipped.. Great enclosed back garden for the poodle! The hot tub was very nice. Five minutes walk to the beach. Would highly recommend and we will return!

Great house and superb location. We were 2 couples and had no problem with parking our 2 cars. Really appreciated the enclosed garden for our dog. Very well equipped, especially the kitchen. We would definately book again, so this speaks for itself.

Beautiful property, very comfortable and very well equipped. The hot tub was a welcome treat at the end of the day, and we used the pool table in the summer house. Spotlessly clean, and a real home from home, spacious and with every facility we needed. The location is great, less than 2 minutes to the beach which is a haven for dog walkers! The watRead moreer quality in the estuary is not great and swimming is not advised, but there are so many other beautiful beaches nearby if we wanted a swim. The village has few facilities, four pubs and one expensive deli. The nearest mini-supermarket was about 2 miles away as was the nearest fish and chip shop. Back to the property, it is excellent for those with furry friends as it has two covered areas to clean and dry your pets before entering the house, plus an outdoor shower with warm water, we stay in a lot of properties in this country and this is by far the best for being dog friendly, with a very secure garden that was not overlooked. The only point to consider is, the advert states parking for two and visitor parking, but in actual fact there is only one allocated parking space nearby, visitor spaces and a time restricted bay for arrival and departure while loading / unloading. The second space they claim is in the block of garages, to park across their garage and the adjoining garage, which they say is hardly used. The problem with this is that other residents do the same, and it is not always possible to gain access to the space in front of this one. Had we arrived with two cars we would not have been happy with the arrangements, a more accurate description is one allocated space plus visitor parking spaces. Overall, we would definitely stay again, we had the most relaxing week, the only problem was it was so comfortable we didnt want to go far, and so apart from our walks on Instow beach with the dogs and visits to the local pub restaurants, we only went out in our car three times in the whole week, we didnt get much sightseeing in!! But the rest was exactly what we needed! Hide

This is an excellent property and well laid out. All the equipment you need is provided. Its also very close to the estuary beach and a couple of reasonable eating places. Our only criticism is the fact we ordered the cot and high chair which was not in evidence when we arrived. We contacted the help number for help. They promised a local agent wouRead moreld make contact to assist. No call back was received and we chased this with help line but still no call back. We searched the house for the items. Eventually, we found a key to the boiler room which was partially hidden by the door frame. The cot and high chair were in this room. Normally we find cots and high chairs assembled for us when renting holiday homes but here you have to do it yourself. When we arrived home there were 2 answerphone messages from the local agent explaining where the cot and high chair were. So they did get back to us but no help contacting our home phone as clearly we werent there. Hide

Lovely stay. The house was perfect and had everything you needed. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil you could think of! Lovely big garden, summer house and hot tub. Walking distance to Instow beach and local pubs. We were very sad to leave :(

Beautiful cottage in an ideal place. Lovely and clean with all the equipment you could ask for. Enclosed garden has all the essentials for children to play and dog when you return from the beach to have a shower before entering the house. Near lovely pubs ans a fabulous cafe/shop. Will definitely book again.

Superb property!! Newly refurbished to a very high standard, quality fixtures and fittings & lots of space. This is a beautiful house, very well equipped and the owners have been so thoughtful to people staying here. Would highly recommend this house, very spacious and lots of activities for the whole family. Just a very short walk to the beach.
