This cheerful Devon getaway is in the peaceful seaside resort of Dawlish, which is packed with charm and traditional holiday appeal. It’s known for its black swans, which you can see swimming up and down the brook not 100 metres from your front door. You’ll be just 0.5 miles from the town’s golden sandy beach, quirky amusements, shops and restaurants to discover. With space for six guests over three rooms, and two doggie guests welcome, too, it’s fabulous for families and groups of friends.
Step inside to discover a soothing, sea-inspired decor that makes you feel instantly welcome. The lounge has plush seating, a Smart TV and a wood burner to keep you all cosy. Cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen, with the choice to eat at the breakfast bar or the separate dining room. Upstairs, three comfy bedrooms await – two king-size rooms and a bunk room that’s ideal for kids – all serviced by a stylish family bathroom. Outside, a few steps take you to a sunny, tiered garden with artificial grass, a raised deck beneath a pergola and a bistro table and chairs. There's also an outdoor WC for added convenience. Parking is at a pay-and-display car park 200 metres from the property.
There’s plenty to do nearby, whether that’s taking a scenic waterside walk, popping in for a Devon cream tea or joining the South West Coast Path for a longer stroll. You may choose to head to Dawlish Warren (3 miles) another popular resort that sits on a sandy spit between the Exe Estuary and the sea – great for beach days and nature spotting. You can walk or cycle the scenic Exe Estuary Trail (join on the seafront 0.5 miles away) to Exmouth via Cockwood, where harbourside pubs make for a great pit stop.
