The location and size of house was excellent. Kitchen appliances provided were great. Showers were great pressure and hot. Although outdoor space looks great online it was covered in green algae and needed more care to be suitable for use and enjoyment. Cleanliness was acceptable however there was some mould staining on the lower part of the Read morebed under the runner - this likely related to heating issue we experienced throughout the stay. The house smells of dogs/pets however it was too cold for us to open windows or doors throughout the stay due to cold weather and lack of heating. We stayed 1st to 6th May and unfortunately had quite cold rainy weather - the house was too cold through our stay. Julian responded quite quickly which was good however the heating did not work/warm the property. After the first night of staying in an extremely cold house we asked in the morning and it was kindly agreed to 22 degrees for times we would be in however it remained at 5 degrees with a few hours of 19 degrees on their settings, with the actual house temperature not being raised. We had to ask through the stay for boosts of heating to make the property bearable. We were advised the solution was one small fan heater about the dimensions of a 30cm ruler - to rotate in each of the rooms where and when needed. This was very inconvenient and did not give lasting heat. Without remedy of the above we couldnt recommend or stay again but if heating had worked it would have been a nice stay. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay, the property is very comfortable. We had 4 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog and never felt on top of each other. The small details go a long way and to have dog bags and treats was a nice surprise as well as milk in the fridge and other treats. In terms of location, its a bit of a walk to get to Torquay harbour, I wouRead moreld say a leisurely 20-25 minute walk and about 10-15 minutes to get to the beach. It is in a great position to get the train to explore Torbay (and beyond) or a short walk to jump on the bus which run very frequently and late into the night. If you do visit with a dog there is a field close to the property where you can let the dog run around chasing balls as long as there is no rugby training taking place, there is also a dog friendly stone beach just past the harbour. All in all a really good holiday made even more better by having such a fabulous property to come back to after days spent enjoying Devon. Hide

Great location, spacious and well laid out modern property with all the facilities required for our family holiday. Although adjacent to the railway line, it is in a quiet location whilst being close to the beach, railway station and frequent bus routes.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Parking was an issue with more than one car. If parked in the drive there is no garden.
