Stroll over to the beautiful golden sands of Westward Ho! from this stylish holiday retreat. Sleeping six guests, and welcoming dogs, the three-bedroom property is just 0.5 miles from the beach, with its opportunities for swimming and surfing. Ideal for a family or couples, this contemporary hideaway has a garden, games table and ample space for everyone to unwind after their busy days out in Devon.

Enter this reverse-level house and make your way straight up to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Pull open the bi-folding doors to bring in the fresh sea air and so you can step out to the glass-fronted balcony. Settle in front of your favourite boxset on the Smart TV, start cooking in the sleek kitchen area. There is also a table in here where you can sit down to your holiday meals on those occasions you choose not to dine out. As night falls, wander down to the lower level, where you have a twin room and two inviting king-size bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. The family bathroom is also here. Spill out into the enclosed garden on sunny days to play games with the children or your pet. Dine in the fresh air and sit out under the stars with a drink on summer evenings. There is private parking here for two cars.

Head 2 miles into charming Appledore to potter in the shops and galleries and have lunch out. During the high season, take the ferry over to Instow to enjoy the sandy beach there. Follow a section of the South West Coast Path, perhaps the 6-mile stretch to pretty Clovelly. This picture-postcard village is known for its donkeys that in the old days would carry loads up and down the cobbled hill.

We all thought the property was absolutely fantastic and in a lovely location but it would benefit from a little TLC.

Well equipped, comfortable modern property. The location is ideal close to the beach and the local shops. Safe enclosed garden for our dogs who were very happy running around there.

House was lovely, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped..the games table was a great fun. The only negative was the beach was a long walk if you have a dog.

Nice well appointed house in a good location. It is slightly out of the centre so be prepared to walk a little bit further but then it is also quieter which is a bonus. We had a pleasant week there.
