This beautiful escape is ideal for a family or small group of friends and has a charming mix of period features and modern conveniences. Located in the delightful village of Thurlestone and just a couple of hundred metres from the local gastropub, this quaint cottage is surrounded by stunning countryside, with three sandy beaches on the doorstep. Thurlestone beaches within half a mile and Bantham Beach within 1 mile, are perfect for days spent swimming, sunbathing, surfing or building sandcastles.

Walkers will enjoy exploring the South West Coast Path on your doorstep, and the South Hams countryside. Perhaps venture to atmospheric Burgh Island which is reachable on foot at low tide or on the famous sea tractor when the causeway disappears. Bigbury Golf Club and the town of Bigbury on Sea are within 2 miles. For a fascinating day out, visit Greenway House and Garden, the former holiday home of author Agatha Christie (15 miles).

This traditional-style cottage is set over two storeys. From the off-road parking space, enter via the rear patio doors and up two steps into the bright and airy kitchen/diner. This pretty space has a dining table and comfortable seating beside a wood burner inset into a traditional fireplace. Up two steps, the kitchen includes everything you’ll need to put together delicious holiday meals and boasts a dishwasher to help with the tidying up. After supper, you’ll want to snuggle up in the delightful lounge where an open fire provides glowing warmth in the winter months. Here you’ll also find a Smart TV for all the family to stream their favourite shows. Completing the ground floor, the family bathroom leads off the kitchen. As night draws in, take the cottage-style stairs to the first floor where you’ll find three bedrooms and an upstairs shower room and WC. In the double bedroom, a sliding glazed door leads to a fabulous balcony with dreamy sea views – just the spot for a morning coffee or perhaps a sundowner. This room also has a TV, ample storage and an ornamental fireplace, which adds to its pretty décor. The twin bedroom also has a TV and an ornamental fireplace, and the final bedroom is an inviting single.

For relaxing days in the sun or evenings under the stars, spend time in the peaceful courtyard equipped with furniture for dining and lounging. This is a wonderful spot in which to linger as you enjoy each other’s company and plan your next adventures.
