Nestled in the rolling countryside between the English Riviera (3 miles) and the seaside settlements of Shaldon and Teignmouth (2 miles), this delightful thatched Devon longhouse offers homely accommodation to extended families and groups of friends. Guests can enjoy two great village pubs within just a 1 mile walk of the property. Lovers of the outdoors will delight in the wealth of rural walking trails all around them, including the South West Coast Path that can be joined just 2 miles away, and Teign Estuary just 0.5 miles away. For more coastal splendour, the village of Shaldon and port town of Teignmouth offer plenty to see and do, including various cafe's, pubs and beaches, one of which (Ness Cove) is hidden at the end of a smuggler’s tunnel. In the other direction, the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham combine into the English Riviera, where beyond sand and shingle beaches, popular attractions await that include Babbacombe Model Village, Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, Splashdown Quaywest and Paignton Zoo (all within 10 miles).

Entering this picturesque retreat, head through the entrance hall and into the snug and cosy lounge with comfortable seating and a Smart TV arranged around a crackling wood burner – perfect for warming up after days of adventure. When stomachs begin to rumble, a well-appointed kitchen/diner boasts everything needed to cook up a Devonshire feast for your loved ones, including a central oak table for enjoying the chef’s work as you plan the next day’s itinerary. Further cooking and cleaning equipment can be found in a handy utility room. For more relaxation beyond the lounge/snug, discover the ground-floor study/games room, with desk space for any holiday emails and a pool table for competitive evenings together. At the end of each busy day away, head upstairs and choose from five welcoming bedrooms, all offering comfortable beds to rest up in. These bedrooms include a master king-size with an en-suite bathroom, a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two tasteful twin bedrooms and a cosy single room. A well-equipped family bathroom completes the interior with its free-standing bathtub and separate shower.

Outside, the delightful garden has plenty of outdoor furniture and a BBQ area, providing a lovely spot for dining alfresco on a summer’s eve.
