Boasting wooden beamed ceilings, a wood burner, a games room and an onsite pool, this traditional cottage is an excellent choice for a countryside getaway with up to seven other guests. Spend your holiday exploring the nearby coastline, Dartmoor National Park and seafront towns. You’ll also be within easy reach of Torquay and the South Devon National Landscape.

Step inside and find yourself in the charming lounge with wooden furnishings, tones of red throughout and an exposed stone inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. Entertain your guests in the games room with its pool table and host dinner parties in the country-style green and neutral-toned kitchen/diner with a central oak dining table. Move past the utility room and head upstairs to reach an elegant family bathroom with a free-standing bathtub plus five bedrooms – two en-suite king-size rooms, two twin rooms and a single bedroom. Outside are two garden areas with furniture, a BBQ, a summer house and a separate secure space for younger children. Over the stream is a private indoor swimming pool with a shower. There is private parking for five cars.

While staying in a rural part of South Devon, you’ll be just 0.5 miles from the sleepy village of Combeinteignhead. Here, you can stop at the pub or cafe before heading over the River Teign to explore the Red Rock hiking area (5.5 miles). Spend an afternoon at Ness Cove Beach (3.5 miles) and follow the South West Coast Path to Anvil Cove and Glass Cove (3 miles). You could also visit the market town of Newton Abbot (3.5 miles) or the seaside resort town of Torquay (6.5 miles).

This wonderful holiday home was absolutely perfect for our family holiday. The atmosphere of the lovey old cottage welcomed us from the start. It was beautifully clean, comfortable and extremely well stocked. The swimming pool was a real bonus and we all enjoyed the early swims or a dip after a long hot day sightseeing. The pool table was also a hRead moreuge hit and provided many a laugh at grandma's attempts to keep the white ball on the table! The weather was terrific and enabled us to make full use of the lovely garden each evening. All in all it was by far the best place we could have found for our family holiday. As mentioned to the wonderful owners, Jill & Nigel, who welcomed us on arrival with wonderful bowl of fresh scones and cream. Went down a treat. The were quick to answer any questions and resolve some small hiccups. to sort. The house and garden are well maintained a the spacious lounge gave us plenty of space for my family and small grandchildreRead moren to relax for a week. Swimming pool was an absolute bonus and one of the main reasons I booked the house. The summerhouse was a lovely quiet place to relax in when wanting some quiet time. Our group of eight had a most wonderful stay at Home House. It is in a lovely village with good walking and pubs nearby. We would have loved more time to explore the area. The house itself is gorgeous with great character and we felt really at home. Lovely to be able to all dine comfortably around the table in the farmhouse kitchen and then relaRead morex in front of the fire. The pool and pool table were hits with everyone and the interior stained glass windows are beautiful. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay in 'Home House'. The cottage was very clean, tidy and spacious, with a choice of kitchens and gardens! House full of character, lovely warm welcome on arrival with cream tea, very well equipt kitchen, swimming pool was great as was games room, wild goose pub just down road was amazing, We enjoyed our holiday as its what you make it,we paid a lot of money for this holiday and we felt a bit overpriced.

A beautiful house in a great location. I couldnt quite grasp the size before arriving but it feels huge. The addition of the pool is great - the kids loved it. Id definitely recommend it.
