For more coastal splendour, the village of Shaldon and port town of Teignmouth offer plenty to see and do, including various cafe's, pubs and beaches, one of which (Ness Cove) is hidden at the end of a smuggler’s tunnel. In the other direction, the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham combine into the English Riviera, where beyond sand and shingle beaches, popular attractions await that include Babbacombe Model Village, Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves, Splashdown Quaywest and Paignton Zoo (all within 10 miles).

When stomachs begin to rumble, a well-appointed kitchen/diner boasts everything needed to cook up a Devonshire feast for your loved ones, including a central oak table for enjoying the chef’s work as you plan the next day’s itinerary. For more relaxation beyond the lounge/snug, discover the ground-floor study/games room, with desk space for any holiday emails and a pool table for competitive evenings together. At the end of each busy day away, head upstairs and choose from five welcoming bedrooms, all offering comfortable beds to rest up in. These bedrooms include a master king-size with an en-suite bathroom, a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, two tasteful twin bedrooms and a cosy single room. A well-equipped family bathroom completes the interior with its free-standing bathtub and separate shower.
Outside, the delightful garden has plenty of outdoor furniture and a BBQ area, providing a lovely spot for dining alfresco on a summer’s eve.
