Nestled in a prime central location on a quiet street leading to Teignmouth's Back Beach, this charming pink fisherman’s cottage is the ideal retreat for families or friends. Steeped in history as the former home of the lifeboat coxswain 120 years ago, the cottage has been lovingly renovated in Autumn 2024 to offer modern comforts while preserving its character.
Accommodating up to four guests, it’s just 50 metres from the Back Beach and its bustling marine activity. From here, everything is within reach: explore the nearby pubs, restaurants, and shops, or take a leisurely 300-metre stroll to the sandy Town Beach, perfect for swimming, picnics, and relaxation. Walk along the sea front promenade and discover the Victorian Pier and further on the open-air heated lido. Venture into town and enjoy some of the many cafes and restaurants…all on your doorstep!
Families will love the Dinosaur-themed adventure golf course, while those craving adventure can hop on the historic pedestrian ferry to Shaldon. This picturesque village boasts a smugglers' tunnel to Ness Beach, a wildlife trust and zoo with over 50 rare and endangered species, botanical gardens and more delightful pubs and restaurants. For day trips, the historic city of Exeter (16 miles) and the rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park (12.5 miles) are just a short drive away.
