The farmhouse-style dining room has space at the long table for everyone, and the kitchen is equipped with everything the cook will need, including a microwave, air fryer and dishwasher. The three bedrooms, featuring high, sloping ceilings and exposed beams, are on the first floor: two doubles (one with an en-suite shower room) and a triple with three single beds. Completing this floor is a family bathroom. The large terrace is a suntrap you won’t be able to resist, with dining furniture, sun loungers and a built-in BBQ, and offering delightful views over rolling countryside. You’ll have use of all the site’s incredible shared amenities: an indoor heated swimming pool, games barn, zip wire, tennis court, playground, woodland and boules court, and there’s parking for two cars.
The cottage is set on a 10-acre farm, in a small grouping of similar, high-quality cottages. The world-class beaches of South Devon are close at hand – including Bantham, just 6 miles, where you can surf and paddle board, and the sheltered, shingle beach at Blackpool Sands, 7 miles, which is great for families. The picturesque towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe are both 10 miles, while the attractions of Woodlands Family Theme Park is only 5 miles away. Also Paignton Zoo, 14 miles and the National Marine Aquarium Plymouth within 25 miles.
