Located in a pretty Somerset village, this gorgeous top-floor apartment is a charming countryside-meets-coast retreat. With two bedrooms, it’s ideal for couples or families seeking fresh air and adventure. You'll be perfectly placed for exploring Somerset’s rolling hills, seaside spots and character-filled villages. And with a traditional pub next door (20 metres) door, you can toast the day's adventures with a pint and a hearty meal.

Inside, relax as a family in the bright and beautifully styled open-plan living area, which has inviting Chesterfield sofas and a Smart TV – excellent for laid-back evenings after tiring days out. Pops of personality appear throughout thanks to bold feature wallpaper, plants and artwork. The modern kitchen has glossy grey units and has everything you need for meal prep, plus a dining table and breakfast bar. The showstopping king-size bedroom features an impressive four-poster bed, an en-suite shower room and balcony access for savouring that peaceful morning coffee. The lovely twin room also has balcony access. There’s also a stylish family bathroom. Back downstairs, just slide open the patio doors to access your private decking area. The outside area also has handy bike hooks outside for cyclists.

You’ll be 3 miles from Watchet, a pretty harbour town where you can wander the marina, fossil hunt and admire the striking red and blue cliffs, a geologist’s dream. Or jump aboard the West Somerset Railway – a heritage steam train – for scenic countryside rides steeped in nostalgia. History buffs will love a trip to Dunster Castle (9 miles), with its grand interiors and picturesque grounds. Classic seaside fun also awaits in Minehead (11 miles), which has sandy beaches, arcades and cafés.

Beautiful place to stay with very helpful staff. Surrounded by nature and a comfortable retreat after days out. The big screen tv a bonus for my husband to watch the World Cup at night! It was the perfect much needed break.

Wonderful views, well equipped including consumables. Clean property. James the host was helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Lovely food available at pub. We will return.
