The property was well equiped and cosy and in a quiet area. This was our first visit to Torquay and although we knew Torquay is hilly we did not know quite how hilly it is. The property is located high up above the town centre, seafront and harbour. Fine if you have a car but we came by train and walking to and from the town is hard work. Indeed weRead more only walked back once - it was simply too steep and we used taxis. The info in the property said a taxi from the town was 4 . A little out of date. We paid around 8 each time. It could be said that the Holiday Cottages property info implies that it is in the centre of the town - we certainly got that impression and selected it accordingly. Hide

We had a wonderful stay in this house. The whole place was delightful, clean, warm and very cosy. The Christmas decorations made it even better. Thoroughly recommend.

We very much enjoyed staying in this quiet, very clean cottage with its comfy furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms are a good double size with one also containing a single bed. The dedicated parking space was a real bonus and though we didnt need them the owners are nearby. There is a good modern TV and the wifi is more than adequatRead moree. Hide

Small house in a quiet area. Fairly clean with a decent kitchen. It was hot when we stayed so cannot comment on what it is like in shoulder seasons. Parking was ok for a small car but be aware the space is small and awkward to manoeuvre if someone is parked in the adjoining space. Location is a very steep walk uphill from Torquay and Babbacombe, weRead more enjoy walking but this was quite tiring. Negatives: There was a notice on the washing machine to say the tumble dryer part did not work and only a tiny airier to dry clothes. The bathroom felt cold and damp with no shower for after a day at the beach. Hide

What a gem of a property! Tucked away in a tranquil setting but convenient for all one could wish to access in Torquay. There is so much thought evident in the equipping of this compact but delightful home; nothing superfluous and nothing missing that facilitates a home-from-home holiday stay. The owners are helpful and on hand if there are any queRead moreries, and altogether we would recommend this property for a small family or folk who simply want to relax. Excellent! Hide

The cottage at Sunnyhill Mews is set within a beautifully maintained gated property, with a view down to the sea from the courtyard. The cottage itself is tastefully and comfortably furnished, providing a peaceful and relaxing holiday home. It's in a great location to visit the centre of Torquay with its busy harbour and shops, Babbacombe with itRead mores funicular railway down to the beach and we strongly recommend a visit to the nearby Kent's Cavern. Within easy driving distance are Buckland Abbey, Drogo Castle and Agatha Christie's former home, Greenway, surrounded by stunning views. We had a splendid holiday, and the owners were extremely helpful and responsive when we contacted them. We enjoyed the local food, ranging from delicious dinners at the Cary Arms (overlooking the sea), to the fresh crab sandwiches, wonderful cream teas and of course local fish and chips! Sunnyhill Mews is a delightful base for a good holiday. Hide

Nice little cottage, clean on arrival. nice welcome pack of essentials. Parking was not the easiest, very small space down a narrow drive. anything bigger than a Ford C-Max is going to be very difficult. The cottage was well equipped, and games to play for that wet evening.
