This cosy cottage, in the heart of Lynton, is ideal for couples or solo travellers seeking a tranquil escape on Devon's beautiful coastline. The property is situated in a unique town built on the cliff above the seaside village of Lynmouth (1 mile away). You'll be surrounded by scenic walks, including the dramatic Valley of the Rocks (1.5 miles). Ride the water-powered funicular railway down into Lynmouth or walk along the river down to Watersmeet (2.5 miles) through ancient woods.

Step into this charming property, set over a single level, and leave your cares at the door. The open-plan lounge, diner and kitchen have plenty of light and are the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day, exploring the local area. Relax on the sofa and catch up on your favourite box set on the Smart TV. A contemporary kitchen has all you need to rustle up a romantic dinner or a late brunch. Throw open the French doors on a sunny day to let the outside in. The double bedroom has a superior feel and an en-suite shower room with a large walk-in shower. Outside, you'll find two areas to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. On fine evenings, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. There is private parking for one car.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element, with easy access to North Devon's beautiful sandy beaches, perfect for long walks or water sports. Three of the best are Woody Bay (7 miles), Coombe Martin (16 miles), and Woolacombe (21 miles), the latter being renowned for its surfing and water sports. Wildlife enthusiasts should head to the Exmoor Zoological and Conservation Centre, and history buffs will love Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum, both within 10 miles.
