Finished to a high standard, this two-storey cottage features contemporary styling in soft, neutral tones with quality finishes throughout. Spend sociable evenings in the open-plan living area, where comfortable seating is arranged around a wood burner and Smart TV, and a bespoke fitted kitchen sits alongside a dining table at the heart of the space. At the rear of the property, step out into an enclosed patio with outdoor seating – perfect for enjoying meals alfresco in fine weather. Back inside, two equally comfortable and spacious bedrooms are complemented by a modern family bathroom.

Right on your doorstep, the rugged beauty of Dartmoor awaits exploration. Follow the flower-strewn banks of the River Taw on an easy wildlife trail, or hike to one of the area’s many distinctive rock formations, including the Nine Stones Circle (2 miles) and the Scorhill Stone Circle (5 miles). Visit Castle Drogo (7 miles), a National Trust highlight with dramatic architecture and beautifully kept grounds, or head to Haytor (15 miles) for a rewarding hill walk with sweeping views across Devon and towards the south coast. After a day of adventure, stop by the nearby town of Okehampton (3.5 miles) to enjoy a refreshing pint or stock up on locally sourced produce.

Perfect cosy house, we stayed while outside it was 30 degrees and inside the house it was perfect cool and Nice!! We stayed here with a dog, perfect location to go out with the dog, just across the Street you have a beautiful walk under trees along the riverside.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Snug felt like home, Such a comfortable, cosy, warm cottage, very well equipped had everything we needed, ideal location for exploring. Dog friendly my golden retriever enjoyed the treats left by the propertys owner! We will be back!

Really lovely cottage, furnished to a very high standard. Very comfortable bed, plenty of room for relaxing, cooking and dining. A great base for exploring beautiful valleys, tors and stone circles with wonderful walks right from the door. Great pub for eating and drinking in the village, and two more in a village a short walk away. A specialist Read morenursery with a beautiful secluded garden and hostas, ferns and agapanthus for sale is a few doors down and well worth a visit. Hide

Thank you for a lovely stay in your property. The access to a warm water hose proved to be a blessing when the pup got muddy during our walks. Gorgeous location, would definitely come again.

A beautiful cottage, clean and extremely well equipped. Highly recommend. Loved the log burner and thank you for the welcome pack. Village pub, store and cafe well attended and all home cooked food.

The property was lovely,very comfortable and very well presented with everything you could need. The location was a great starting point to explore the northern parts of dartmoor, a beautiful river walk, that leads you up onto the edge of darmoor.
