Welcoming family cottage in the picture-postcard village of Petrockstow in North Devon. Stay in this six-person dog-friendly cottage to have great day trips, enjoy country walks and one of the most famous waymarked routes, The Tarka Trail.
This getaway, lovingly presented in soft neutrals and plush decor throughout, offers a lovely place to relax after an active day of exploration. The desirable living room is beautiful with inviting sofas and a TV for intimate film nights, while French doors allow the outside in. Whip up family favourites in the chic country kitchen/diner, before gathering for meals around the rustic dining table. Alternatively, enjoy them out on the split-level garden with a drink in hand. Upstairs, you'll discover three individually designed bedrooms: a charming king-size, a pretty double and a fun-sized bunk room. Spend leisurely mornings kicking back in the bathtub, before sipping your frothy cappuccino and watching the kids play badminton on the lawn.
Lace up boots and don oversized coats and take to The Tarka Trail, which is conveniently located within walking distance of your cottage. This 180-mile route takes you through unspoiled countryside and is perfect for keen cyclists. Mix it up with a stroll down Northam Burrows Country Park (17 miles), where expansive dunes back the golden sands of Westward Ho! Beach. Here, you can enjoy playing a few games in the arcade, stopping by the pub, or grabbing some fish and chips. For days out, RHS Rosemoor and The Big Sheep are within 15 miles.
