This period property sits in an elevated position on one of Dartmouth's historic streets, within the town’s conservation area with panoramic views over the River Dart. Relax in the pretty courtyard garden and take it all in during the warmer months and enjoy cosying up to the open fire in the cooler months.
Enjoy the stunning new decking area with glass balcony and large sofa seating where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic town and river views. The garden also benefits from a Weber BBQ and Pizza Oven to enjoy al fresco dining.
Head inside along the hall to the open-plan living room/diner where you’ll find a two-seater sofa, three easy chairs and a coffee table. Light the open fire whilst you watch your shows on the TV before moving over to the antique dining table and chairs that comfortably seat all six guests. The galley-style kitchen has everything needed to rustle up group dinners, and completing the ground floor is a cloakroom with a WC. The first floor comprises the master king-size bedroom, which is light and spacious, and a bathroom with a bath and a separate shower. Climb a narrow and steep staircase to the top floor where the last two bedrooms await. There’s a double room with a sloping ceiling along one side and views across Dartmouth and the River Dart, and also a twin bedroom. Outside, there is a sunny garden with steps down to the first terrace where you can enjoy alfresco dining. A further new decking area with glass balcony and large sofa seating offers a place to relax and enjoy the stunning views
This lovely holiday home is the ideal base for exploring Dartmouth and further afield. The town’s shops, restaurants and quay are just a few hundred metres away so you can park the car and easily explore on foot. Regular ferries run across the River Dart and up to the lively marketing town of Totnes (13 miles) with its mainline railway station, good range of wholefood restaurants and independent shops. The South Devon beaches are just a few miles away, such as Sugary Cove Beach (just over 1 mile) and Blackpool Sands (3.5 miles), and the Dartmouth Golf and Country Club (5 miles) is nearby so don't forget your clubs. For a great day out, we suggest getting the car ferry over the Dart and heading to Paignton Zoo and Conservation Park (8.5 miles) or Splashdown Quaywest water park (7.5 miles).
Note: The cottage is located on a steep hill walk from Dartmouth town, that might not suit those with restricted mobility
