Head towards the coastal town of Sidmouth (7 miles), perched on the edge of the Jurassic Coast. Miles of striking red cliffs and fascinating fossil formations stretch out in either direction, opening up endless coastal walks, cycling routes and trips to pristine beaches, including Weston Beach and Budleigh Salterton (both 10 miles).
