Surrounded by far-reaching views of countryside and coast, this detached house is a wonderful base for a South Devon escape with family or friends. The colourful four-bedroom home, located within large gardens, is around 1.5 miles from the sandy shores of Hope Cove and 3 miles from Salcombe, a pretty seaside town where you can go sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding on the Kingsbridge Estuary.

Step inside via the impressive hallway, leading to a light-filled, open-plan kitchen/diner that’s the social heart of the house. There’s a feature Aga for looks along with a range-style electric cooker for cooking up feasts, to be enjoyed at the farmhouse table. You’ll also have a breakfast bar for perching with morning coffees. Doors open straight out to the mature garden, while a utility room and downstairs WC add extra practicality. The cosy snug sets you up perfectly for board games or TV time, along with a main lounge with a roaring open fire and Smart TV for relaxed evenings in. The sunroom is a real highlight, with glorious views and a formal dining table for special meals. From here, you can join the South West Coast Path and head in either direction for scenic coastal walks. The sweeping National Trust beach at South Milton Sands is also 1.5 miles away on foot, or you can head toward the dramatic cliff-top scenery of Bolberry Down (3 miles). Salcombe is brimming with possibility, with independent shops, excellent seafood restaurants and a local gin distillery you can visit.

A lovely spacious family home with coastal views and large, secure garden. Unfortunately walking from the house wasnt easy as the narrow lane was quite busy with tractors etc at this time, then the route to Hope Cove necessitated crossing a field of cattle, the notice on the gate stated, Beware of the Bull!! But beautiful local beaches at South MiRead morelton and Salcombe. Hide

A beautiful house with amazing views. Was clean and generally well appointed, the beds were comfy and bedding of good quality. We had a great week, lots of lovely dog walks from the house, quite hilly in parts and this would need to be considered if you were not fairly fit and healthy.

A gorgeous, comfortable home with great views and plenty of room. Excellent for visiting places around with a lovely walk to the beach, right from the door.
