Driftwood design features, fresh tiles and unique artworks elevate this recently renovated lodge to create an entirely appealing Devonshire holiday home. Hosting four guests, this cabin is located on the gated grounds of a local pub, offering an easily accessible drink, meal or takeaway with staff on hand and always willing to help. It’s just 1 mile away from Westward Ho!, with the remarkable Westward Ho! Beach just a little further away (1.5 miles), backed by the beautiful, nature-packed dunes of the Northam Burrows Country Park (2 miles). Made for walks, beach days and surfing adventures, you’ll find so much to keep you busy and entertained without venturing too far from this exceptional North Devon village.

Take a few steps up to this incredibly well-presented lodge and step inside. At the property’s centre, an open-plan living area with a lounge, kitchen and diner invites restful nights and slow mornings in between daily adventures. Bi-fold doors make this a dynamic indoor-outdoor space, leading right into the private decking and garden from the kitchen. Complete with a BBQ and garden furniture, this is your space for outdoor dining. Back inside, move down the hallway to find two bright, modern bedrooms, a double and a zip-and-link twin with the option to be made up as a king-size if needed. An invigorating shower room completes the property. There is private parking for up to two cars.

Whilst Westward Ho! is your nearest locale, you’re also within effortless reach of Appledore (3.5 miles), Instow (5 miles), Barnstaple (11 miles) and Bideford (3 miles), offering you a new Devonshire destination to explore every day. Be sure to find time to visit Saunton Sands (17.5 miles), an exceptional stretch of sandy beach with quality surfing conditions and a surf school for equipment hire or lessons. There’s also a surf school closer to home at Westward Ho!, which is ideal for those with younger visitors.

I loved that there were just a few cabins. The location is so peaceful. Having a hot tub was a novelty for me. The on site staff were great.

The accommodation was brilliant, but we wont be staying again as the price has increased by more than 500 for the same week next year.

Delightful cottage in very quiet and pretty surroundings. In the grounds of a lovely pub that serves gorgeous foods. Few minutes drive to the sea front and lots of local attractions. Very dog friendly, we had 2 dogs with us. Would definitely come again.

Lovely cottage, basic with what is provided (you only get 4 cups, 4 forks- no extras, no hairdryer or iron) the enclosed garden is only enclosed to bigger dogs. Our small dog could and did fit through gaps in the fence. Location is beautiful and the pub on site is really nice too. The road leading up to the site was a little hairy to town and city Read moredwellers as it was a one track with little space to manoeuvre if a car came the other way it was also very overgrown. Wonderful location 30 minute walk into Westward Ho! Very comfortable and clean accommodation. The Pig on the Hill pub is next door but the cabins are far enough away that there was no noise. A great stay. Thank you!

Lovely chalet/lodge. Had everything you need for a week away plus some little extras. Beds were so comfortable my hubby slept longer than me, which never happens! Garden is private and even includes a BBQ which we didnt use as we ate at the fabulous Pig on the Hill pub. Beach is 0.9m away and is an energetic walk. There are also a couple of walks yRead moreou can access from the chalet which we enjoyed. Hosts were lovely and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Hide
