The property is positioned between Bideford (14 miles) and Bude (19 miles), making it an ideal base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall.
Hartland Carnival is held every year in August. It is a week-long community celebration that typically spans the first or second week of the month, concluding with a Grand Procession and festivities in The Square
Inside, the cottage is mostly laid out on one floor, with a warm and inviting feel throughout. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is wonderful for socialising with fellow guests, with cosy sofas gathered around a wood burner and Smart TV. Two steps lead up to the kitchen and dining area, where you can prepare easy holiday meals and sit down together around the table. Along the hallway are two peaceful bedrooms – a king-size and a double – both styled in calming tones, plus a family shower room. Outside, enclosed gardens to the front and rear enable you to make the most of the rural surroundings and uninterrupted dark skies, with panoramic views and outdoor seating. You’ll also have a charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining. Private parking for two cars makes departures and arrivals straightforward.
Nearby Clovelly (5 miles by car or on foot via the coastal path) is well worth a visit, with its iconic cobbled streets and picturesque harbour.
