Charlotte and George, have created a gem of a place. Trentishoe is a good base to go to all the main places: Ilfacombe, Appledore, Lynton. The Hunters Inn is a short car distance, and offers walks to Heddon Mouth and Woody Bay. Devon is beautiful with stunning scenery. Charlotte left us a fabulous welcome basket of goodies. The hot tub was fabulousRead more treat, they have it set up in aprvate setting, they give you marvellous great towels to use. It was the cherry on the cake. The Ciastal path is in walking distance, some great walks. National Trust on your doorstep. I would recommend this great cottage. Enjoy and thank you. Hide

Very relaxing break. Comfortable cottage with all mod cons. Loved the roll top bath that can fit two, great shower and hot tub. 20 minute walk to a lovely local pub that does great food and a cracking real ale or three! 30 minute walk back!!

Generally excellent (interior of the cottage). We accept this is a new cottage and as such is a work in progress. There are however concerns regarding the exterior and surroundings. Firstly the advertising is somewhat misleading; there is a glorious picture of open fields and views to the sea; it should be stated clearly these are not views from tRead morehe cottage which itself has very limited views as its in a dip and mostly looks out towards the opposite farmhouse. Advertising should make clear that the cottage does not have any outside green space of its own nor does it have any easily enjoyable views from the cottage itself. Sadly the immediate vicinity of the cottage and the lanes leading to it could do with a little love. It was a bit of a mess with litter, old shoes, an old abandoned car just up the lane. There was a lot of plastic wrap caught on the barbed wire fencing outside the property and on the lanes approaching the property which will have environmental impact apart from being unsightly. It would definitely benefit from a clean up. For us, the litter was significant enough to detract from our enjoyment of the area. I would definitely recommend the cottage to a friend but sadly until the surroundings are improved it's difficult to recommend the overall experience. Hide

The cottage was exceptional! Pristinely clean, facilities were amazing (the hot tub was perfect and used every day!). The welcome gifts of fresh eggs, bacon and wine were delightful. Location was fantastic - it was situated on a working farm, but the cottage boundary was enclosed well so that our dog couldn't get out. Nearest towns included LynRead moremouth and Lynton (both great to visit!), as well as Ilfracombe further down the coast. National Trust (Arlington Court) definitely worth the visit as well. The cottage was situated in the middle of all of these great places. Would most certainly return again and just working out dates to make a subsequent booking. Hide

A Modern Gem! This cottage is stunning, modern, and spotlessly clean. The downstairs living area has underfloor heating which kept us incredibly toasty, and the kitchen was perfectly kitted out with everything we needed. A huge thank you to the owners for their quick response after a storm; they repaired the wind-damaged gates in just two hours so we weren't inconvenienced at all. While there's no grass garden, there is great access to safe dog walks just outside. We highly recommend this holiday cottage! P.S. The Hunters Inn is a stones throw from the cottage and we enjoyed the divine food and the company of very friendly locals and staff so much! Also highly recommended!! Hide
