Set right in the heart of popular Woolacombe, this pretty seaside cottage is perfectly placed for a laid-back Devon escape with family or friends – and your dogs are very welcome, too. The village is known for its relaxed coastal vibe and spectacular 3-mile-long sandy beach, where you can spend long days sandcastle building, swimming and surfing. Walkers are especially well catered for here, with the South West Coast Path just 250 metres away.
This welcoming cottage is laid out over two floors. On arrival, step through the porch into the open-plan living area, featuring soft tones, plenty of natural light and comfortable furnishings. After a day by the sea, stretch out on the plush sofas with a cuppa, perhaps switching on the Smart TV for a cosy evening in. The stylish kitchen has everything you need for cooking up favourite family dishes. Sit down to eat at the wooden dining table, positioned by the patio doors and overlooking the garden. For sleeping, you’ll have a ground-floor king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs in the eaves are two more king-size bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities – one of which also includes an additional single bed. Outside, the patio is a lovely place to relax, featuring outdoor furniture so you can enjoy morning coffee and meals in the fresh air. You’ll have private parking for two cars.
Nearby, head along the coast path to the National Trust’s Morte Point (1.5 miles) for rugged cliff-top views. Or, plan a day at Saunton Sands (6.5 miles) for more beachside fun. Families will love Watermouth Castle (10.5 miles), packed with activities and experiences for all ages. Ilfracombe (4 miles) has a charming historic harbour where you can hop on a boat trip, try your hand at fishing, and sail out to Lundy Island to spot its famous puffins (seasonal).
