Situated in the pretty hamlet of Putsborough this spacious detached home is just less than half a mile away from the glorious sandy beach perfect for walking your pets, surfing, or rock pooling.  The stunning headland and coastal path is within walking distance, and the homeowner even provides a pass to the beach so you have free car parking. 

A large, gated driveway with plenty of private off-road parking leads to a spacious porchway ideal for shoes, wellies, pushchairs, and buckets and spades. The bespoke kitchen is a wonderful place to gather and plan the day ahead or prepare meals. And there’s a lovely dining room adjacent for relaxed get-togethers or a special evening meal. There is plenty of room for the whole family, whether you need a quiet place to read or a place to enjoy precious time with family and friends. The good-sized main living room has Sky TV and a DVD player, and there are cosy corners in the large rear hallway. Two staircases at either end of the property lead to the first floor where two attractive bedrooms await, a king-size and a twin, each with a TV, and feature electric fire. With Woolacombe Beach and Croyde Bay 4 miles and 1.5 miles away respectively, you’ll be truly spoiled for choice when it comes to sandy shores. Great property for a family gathering in an excellent location. Easy access to the local beach and great opportunities for local walks. We enjoyed all the facilities the property had to offer including the spacious garden and adequate parking.

A high quality and well presented cottage with a great enclosed garden and large lawn ideal for dogs. Only a 15 minute walk (mostly across the owners fields) to the large expanse of Putsborough/Woolacombe beach, which was surprisingly not that busy except for the south and north ends. A pleasant welcome supply of food essentials was waiting includRead moreing scones and cream. Cleanliness was good except for the patio table and chairs which were covered in bird poo. The only other improvement needed at this price would be to not provide such cheap toilet paper and only a small soap puck in the bathrooms. Hide

The five star rating says it all. The quality of the house suggests a cherished family home as opposed to a buy to rent holiday let. We would definitely come back, which again says it all.

This is our fourth time staying at the Anchorage and we love it. It has everything we need as a family, the garden is lovely and we used it with the sun this year and the location is perfect.
