This was our second visit to this very comfortable barn conversion in our favorite part of Devon. We had a very long journey from the east coast of Essex but it was worth it! The accommodation is very comfortable and mostly open plan creating a light airy space. The bed is comfortable nice hot shower and everything you need for your stay is thoughtRead more of. The accommodation is located next to the family stables. There are a number of dogs onsite. Alica was a very welcoming host. We have a very nervous dog and she was very sympathetic. Due to a heatwave during our stay we stayed at home a lot more than we normally would which resulted in a very relaxing week. We look forward to returning to The Shippen again. Thank you Alicia for a lovely week and the cream tea upon arrival it was very welcome! Hide

The barn was lovely, light and airy and really well equipped with everything you would need, I would bring some slippers though as the wooden floor can be a little cold in the evening. The location was good as you are in a country setting and amenities aren't too far a drive away.
