Property code: OC-91466

Perched in an elevated position with far-reaching river views across Teignmouth, this elegant property is a true gem. Gather your friends, family, and four-pawed companions for a delightful retreat on the blissful Devonshire coast. Feel the salty ocean spray as you glide across the estuary to discover the whitewashed houses of Shaldon (1 mile), before sliding into the steaming hot tub with a sparkling sundowner.

This striking house is the epitome of chic coastal living with a crisp neutral colour scheme, floor-to-ceiling windows, and breezy seascape artwork. Kick off sandy shoes in the hallway then step into the kitchen/diner. Slide out a bottle from the wine rack then potter in the glossy kitchen with a glass in hand. Portion up some takeout to be devoured together in the inviting window seat nook. After supper, ascend the steps to find the first lounge. Sink onto the plump sofas and admire glistening ocean views from the French doors or gossip in the warmth of the open flame gas fire. On summer days, throw open the patio doors and tuck into an afternoon tea on the raised terrace while the younger group members escape downstairs to the hidden cinema room. As night falls, rest up in the three attractive bedrooms. Choose between a sleek en-suite super-king on the ground floor or step up to the en-suite king. Completing the property is a bright twin, located on the lower ground floor. Outdoors, catch a sunset as you soak in the hot tub or gear up for garden games on the stretch of lawn. Please note the driveway is steep and quite narrow.

The charming seaside town of Teignmouth is an ideal holiday destination. Amble along the bustling Teignmouth Pier (800 metres) and duck into the arcades, while away sunny days on the shores of Teignmouth Beach (800 metres) or set sail on a sea safari from Torquay (12 miles).

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size (zip and link upon request), 1 king-size, 1 twin

A beautiful place with lots of mod cons and we mainly enjoyed our stay despite the weather!! The views are lovely. However the bathrooms are very small and in ours (the one with the bath) the toilet was in a very cramped position. Also if you are using the shower over the bath turn the shower head towards the wall first or it sprays outside of thRead moree bath due to narrow end on bath. Radiator also had a slight leak. Toilet in other upstairs bathroom constantly trickled. One note on cleaning, my partner dropped one of his tablets and we had to move the chair in the lounge and discovered a gummy sweet and other detritus under there. All that being said it is a 9/10. A comfortable and pleasant stay here over Winter. Well heated with the bonus of the fire for a cold winter evening. Beds were comfy and bedding good. Very clean. Kitchen well equipped generally. Lovely property well appointed with great views over the estuary and Shaldon. If you have mobility issues the access road would be quite challenging on foot. Around a 20 minute walk in to Teignmouth, which has plenty of options for parking should you drive in. Lovely pubs and restaurants. Shaldon across the estuary definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place. Just a few tweaks would make it even better. Egg cups should be provided, more crockery and more sun loungers as only one provided. The hot tub is very overlooked so a structure with a roof would give some privacy.
