Go inside to the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and spend the evening snuggled up on the comfy sofas watching the Smart TV, cook tasty fare in the kitchen, and share it in the dining area. Head up the open tread wooden staircase to bed in the two gorgeous, cottage-style bedrooms, a stunning king-size with wooden beams, elegant furniture and good storage and the pretty twin (or king) bedroom; there’s also a bathroom on this floor. On balmy days, head outside and sit in the garden, wander to the shared gazebo with a bottle of wine, or simply potter through the gardens and sit in peace next to the pond. You can give the pup a run around the shared field.
Pop into Barnstaple (5 miles) to do some shopping, go to the theatre or cinema, or go out for a bite to eat. Explore the local countryside on foot or by bike on the Tarka Trail, which runs through Bishops Tawton (3 miles), or head to Exmoor (9 miles) to explore the great moors. Spend the day on the beach at Westward Ho! (11 miles), Saunton Sands (12.5 miles) and Woolacombe (18 miles), say hi to the animals at Exmoor Zoo (16 miles), and admire the stunning gardens at RHS Rosemoor (8.5 miles).
