Nestled on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park, this convenient cottage provides an excellent location for experiencing the vast Devonshire countryside. Just 2 miles from the delightful market town of Okehampton, this charming, cosy property is well-placed for families of four to explore the exhilarating hikes and picturesque trails of this spectacular part of England.

Beneath the stone exterior is a haven with homely comforts and a crackling wood burner, which will become the backdrop for many fun-filled film nights. Find yourselves making a fresh pot of tea in the well-equipped kitchen/diner, where there's everything needed for a stress-free stay and a spacious dining table that can host any number of board games. Enjoy quality time together in the lounge, where pillowy seating complements weary legs, and the Smart TV streams your favourite boxsets. Upstairs, you'll discover two inviting bedrooms: a king-size with plenty of storage and a double room with an additional single bed. Finishing off this floor is the modern-styled bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, you can bask in the rolling views as you sip your morning coffee or watch your canine companion play ball in the enclosed space.

With a network of breathtaking trails and magnificent cycle routes to uncover, it's easy to see why Dartmoor National Park is so popular with outdoor enthusiasts. Amble along The Granite Way for a genuinely captivating and traffic-free experience, or challenge yourself to a trek up Cosdon Hill (7 miles) for a dominating view of the park. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a visit to the market town of Okehampton (2 miles) to pick up ingredients for a Devon cream tea before buying a unique souvenir from one of the many shops. Further afield, Exeter (20 miles) city centre is excellent for a day shopping and is accessible by car or train from Okehampton.

The cottage could not be faulted, it was very clean & well equipped. All the kitchen equipment is up to date & easy to use. So lovely to stay in a cottage with good quality comfortable beds & sofas! It was a delight to sit outside watching the house martins nesting under the eaves. Recommend Meldon reservoir for walks ..its only 5 mins drive away.

Our only suggestion for improvement concerns the email we received saying "here are your full arrival details". The email did not include the code for the key safe. There was no indication that there was a key safe. We were not able to contact the owner on the number given in the email.
