Spend your days surfing, swimming or exploring the scenic North Devon countryside before returning to this gorgeous cottage. Sleeping six guests, the bright, modern, three-bedroom retreat sits in beautiful, rural surroundings, just 1 mile from Bideford and 5 miles from the breathtaking, golden sands of Westward Ho! Beach. With an enclosed garden and shared lawned play area, it is one of two lovely, stone hideaways nestled on the owner’s 700-acre dairy farm.

Wander inside the cottage, which has underfloor heating, taking a couple of steps down from the hall to emerge in the kitchen. This light-filled room has been designed to ensure you have everything you need to help you rustle up delicious meals. Doors from here open into the lounge/diner, where you can set the table for your feasts and gaze out across the rolling landscape. The lounge area features plump sofas arranged around a wood burner set against revealed stonework. Fire this up during the colder months, then watch a DVD or find your favourite programme on the TV. A convenient WC can also be found downstairs, together with one of your bedrooms, a double with an en-suite shower room and a TV/DVD player. Your remaining bedrooms are upstairs. Wake up to wonderful views from either the king-size room, with a TV/DVD player, or the twin. The family bathroom, which has a bath and a shower, is also on the first floor. Soak up the sunshine and the scenery from the enclosed garden. Supervise the children on the shared play equipment. There is ample private parking.

While away an afternoon or two in pretty Appledore (3 miles), with its delightful shops, galleries and tea rooms. Take a ferry over to the beach at Instow during the summer. Lace up your walking boots and follow a section of the South West Coast Path.

April Cottage was amazing, from the location to the accommodation itself. There is nothing the owners hadnt thought of to make sure our stay was just perfect. An absolutely amazing view and very quiet. Incredibly comfortable and very toasty! Location was great - just a few miles out of Bideford. Owners were very welcoming! Perfect size for 6 of us, with one couple downstairs.

Problem with the mains supply out of the control of the owners to both properties one day which was resolved quickly. Had a lovely week in April cottage, beautiful views, clear skies and cosy evenings, well be back with the whole family in the larger property - cant wait!

When you're driving along the farm track to the cottage, don't be put off - it really is there! A left turn down a steep hill and you arrive. The cottage is scrupulously clean, appropriately equipped, very comfortable and nicely laid out. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location and excellent accommodation for 6 of us. It's got a large living/ diner room and a well equipped kitchen. It was very clean and comfortable.
