The rustic retreat boasts beautiful wood-panelled walls, hand-crafted furniture, and large windows framing panoramic views across open fields. From the French doors, step into the bright and inviting kitchen/diner, where you’ll find everything needed to whip up romantic dinners for two, which you can share at the breakfast bar, dining table or outside on the terrace. A step down takes you to the comfortable lounge area where you can snuggle up on the sofa in front of the wood burner and watch the Smart TV. Another small step leads to the inviting king-size bedroom, which features calming decor, and an en-suite shower room. You’ll also have a separate shower room, accessed from the terrace. Outside, take in the magnificent views from your decked terrace, which has outdoor furniture, a hot tub, BBQ, and firepit. Beyond the terrace is an enclosed lawn where four-pawed guests can play, and there’s also a shared dog exercise paddock and a pond within the grounds. Guests are also welcome to use the shared badminton court, table tennis table, mini golf, and pool table. Private parking is available for two cars.
Head to the pretty village of Bickleigh (3.5 miles) to wander amongst its cute, thatched cottages, or enjoy a waterside stroll along the River Exe. There are also some lovely walking routes through Northdown Wood, just outside the village. Nearby days out include Wimbleball Lake (25 miles), a hub for water sports, or the National Trust properties of Knightshayes and Killerton (both within 10 miles). The holiday home is also within touring distance of south-coast resorts such as Exmouth (23 miles) and Sidmouth (26 miles).
