Located just outside a quaint Devon village, this gorgeous period property provides a fantastic rural base for family get-togethers and holidays with friends. Enjoy peaceful woodland walks from your front door or explore on horseback from the adjacent stables. The property has a great central location, equidistant from Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks and just over 20 miles from the North Devon coast. After a long hike through the countryside, return to your holiday home for a family BBQ in the garden, followed by a soak in your private hot tub.

Enter the impressive property via the cobbled courtyard, and into the grand kitchen/diner which boasts elegant quartz worktops, ceramic flooring, and everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal for the group, to share around the large farmhouse table overlooking the garden. The gorgeous lounge is a cosy spot in which to unwind at the end of a busy day, thanks to underfloor heating which runs throughout the property. Curl up here with a good book or watch a film on the Smart TV. To the rear of the house is a mature garden, with a large lawn where children and dogs can play, as well as a BBQ, patio area, and hot tub.

Just 4.5 miles away is the enchanting Eggesford Forest. Follow a network of trails through the Douglas firs, looking out for a wide variety of wildlife, followed by lunch in the picturesque picnic area. RHS Garden Rosemoor (13.5 miles) makes a lovely day out. Nestled in the Torridge Valley, this gorgeous garden features one of the largest rose displays in the South West and also has a busy calendar of family fun days and special events. Alternatively, spend the day at the beach at Westward Ho!, just 22 miles away.

We adored our stay at Northleigh. It was the perfect comfortable hideaway for my daughter who married in Eggesford Church during our stay. Very peaceful, excellent kitchen, comfortable beds and very peaceful. A great Bass as well to explore the local countryside. We bought two bikes with us and did a lot of cycling be prepared for steep hills.

Beautiful well equipped home. Plenty of space, nice big bedrooms and garden. Hot tub was a bonus

This is a fantastic cottage really clean and very well equipped Katie the owner of the property always checked the hot tub and made sure we didn't need anything and was helpfull telling us places to visit such a nice pleasant stay will book this again thankyou for the hospitality
