Panoramic views of the River Taw and rolling fields are just one of the many things that Ellerslie House boasts. Spacious living and fantastic outdoor space make this property a wonderful home-from-home from which to explore North Devon. Heading back after a day spent discovering seaside gems or roaming the local town, you can challenge family and friends to a game of snooker in the games room or simply kick back and relax on the decked balcony.

Light and comfortable, the lounge area invites you to unwind together after days spent adventuring. On chilly evenings, curl up and enjoy the cosy furnishings or on a sunny, mild evening throw open the balcony doors and breath in the fresh air. For nights when eating-in is your preferred choice, the grand dining table offers a sociable spot for meals with family and friends.

For salty hair and sandy toes, there’s an abundance of golden sands to visit under 15 miles from your doorstep. Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe are surfers’ paradises and also fantastic places to eat local seafood and enjoy a traditional cream tea or ice cream. Barnstaple is lined with shops and a great pannier market which is well worth a roam before heading to the museum, located in the beautiful town square, to uncover local history and culture. Enjoyed our stay. The location is pretty convenient although you probably need a car to get into the town. Cottage comfortable and everything clean and tidy.

A lovely house, in a lovely location. Ideally placed for getting around the area and other nearby towns. Plenty of supermarkets near by. Plenty of pubs and places to eat within a short travel time.

Large property, snooker table and outdoor barbecue space were used a lot by us. Good location, walking distance from Banstable and a nice local pub just up the roads. Great views of sunrise and sunset from the upstairs balcony. Only negative was that the kitchen was a bit small but overall a great place to stay and we would visit again.
