This beautifully furnished barn conversion is one of a pair of cottages situated on a small working sheep farm in unspoilt, rural countryside. Providing fantastic accommodation for a couple looking to enjoy a romantic retreat, this lovely property offers quirky design features, an acre of wild garden and a private hot tub. Ideally located for exploring the beautiful countryside of North Devon with the stunning coast just a short drive away.

It’s warm and welcoming with beautiful decoration and furnishings, and features a lovely, spacious lounge/diner with plenty of comfortable seating, TV/DVD and a wide choice of books to read. Two steps lead into a well-equipped kitchen. The property also offers a cosy and stylishly decorated super king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The bedroom can be made up as a twin room on prior request. There is a delightful courtyard area outside, with garden furniture, BBQ and a private hot tub. You will also have the use of a beautiful wild garden, and you’re welcome to stroll through the farmyard and orchard, with lambing taking place near Easter.

Nestling in a picturesque village in the heart of Tarka Country, this delightful cottage is ideal for keen walkers, cyclists and nature-lovers wanting to discover glorious country walks. The nearby market town of Great Torrington (8.5 miles) is home to RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal. By heading north, you can enjoy some of North Devon’s stunning beaches, including Saunton (18 miles), Westward Ho! (19 miles) and Croyde (21 miles). The beautiful Exmoor National Park (16 miles) is also within easy reach, offering spectacular landscapes and wonderful walks.

The cottage was perfect in every way and very well equipped inside and out. We loved the generous welcome pack and the place was immaculately clean which was lovely. Our hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful and relaxing break at The Sheep Pen. The cottage is charming and cozy, giving us the perfect escape from busy lives. A beautifull, romantic little cottage, warm, cosy and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed and more. The host was very friendly and kindly showed us where we could walk our dog. Owners very helpful and we thank them for the birthday card and bottle of prosecco for Sue's 70th birthday during our stay at the cottage. Our 7 month old standard poodle and trainee assistance dog loved the walks and warming herself by the log fire.

Wow! What a fantastic place where we enjoyed 4 nights with our 2 dogs. The cottage was so clean spacious and comfortable with everything we could want - shower with instant hot water, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob and the biggest bed!! Very impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage and how everything was well looked after.
