Just 9 miles north, Ilfracombe is home to the iconic Landmark Theatre, Tunnels Beaches and, overlooking the harbour, Damien Hirst’s statue of Verity' take a boat trip from here to Lundy Island and you might see dolphins and puffins. For time away from the beach, visit Barnstaple (10 miles), the largest town in North Devon with a historic Pannier Market and a host of independent stores.
