I tried my best to avoid this complaint, but the owner ignoring us has left me with no choice. It seemed like during our stay, someone was attempting to break in. We had to resort to booking a night at a different hotel which incurred more cost. This was reported to the owner and despite repeated messages to them as well as holiday cottages tryiRead moreng to get in touch with them too, they just completely ignored the situation. Completely disgusted, disappointed and would not recommend following how this was very poorly handled afterwards. Hide

I loved my peaceful and remote stay at the barn. Just what I needed to unplug from daily life and enjoy walks with the dog, visiting gardens and walks of north Devon. So useful to have an enclosed terrace to keep the dog safe. Great to have TV in bedroom and lounge. Barn so cosy, pleasant and useful. I would definitely visit again! Pros - lovely location, modern interior comfortable bed, good Internet connection, peaceful countryside, Cons - some maintenance issues reported to owner. Dog fur/hairs found on furniture and carpet (we don't have a dog and based on this, would be more careful in booking a property that doesn't allow dogs in the future).

Not as suitable as we thought for our dog. No where for him to have a run off lead as we hoped. A bit too remote for us.
