Escape to the English Riviera with friends and family in this beautiful cottage for four. Brixham is a bustling fishing town with a pretty harbour, cobbled streets, and colourful houses. Wander out of your front door to explore its plethora of independent shops and fantastic eateries, followed by a stroll along one of the nearby beaches or coast paths. And in the evenings, you can sip sundowners on your own private terrace overlooking the town.

A flight of steps leads from the harbour to the cottage. Arranged over four floors, you’ll find a cosy cottage full of traditional features and boasting fantastic views. Enter into the kitchen/diner, where you can whip up delicious meals with local produce to enjoy together around the dining table. Cottage-style stairs lead to the adorable lounge, with its beamed ceiling and comfortable seating arranged around a wood burner-effect electric fire. Another flight of stairs leads to the twin bedroom and bathroom and on the top floor, you’ll find the king-size bedroom, which has a cute seating area for enjoying the views across the town and out to sea. A door leads from the lounge to a small, private terrace – the perfect spot for relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day.

You’ll find so much to see and do in beautiful Brixham. Be sure to take a moment to investigate the Golden Hind in the harbour – this full-size replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship is one of the town’s most popular attractions. If you fancy a dip in the sea, head down to Shoalstone Beach for a swim in the tidal pool. The town is also a great place for trying a whole host of water sports, and you’ll find many companies offering everything from paddleboarding to jet skiing.

This could be a lovely cottage however it is let down by how unclean it is, out of date and general state of things. It needs a good clean top to bottom & some home touches. Lounge chairs torn, bulbs not working, mirrors scratched & cant be used. The instructions to this property make it difficult to find. Small and cosy rooms, spreading over four floor. Very comfortable and lovely views across the harbour. The stairs were a challenge at times.

This cottage is ideal for those wishing to stay close to the harbour. As it's over 4 floors with no parking access is tricky. So I wouldn't recommend it for those with mobility issues or very young children. The property is well equipped with TV in all bedrooms as well as the lounge. And it also has great WiFi and a small Selection of games and DVDRead mores for those rainy days. Overall a very nice little place and we've stayed her twice now. And will no doubt book again for next year. Hide

Good location although not too easy to find. Nice views from top windows and balcony. Property is across 4 floors on a small spiral staircase so not suitable for those with mobility issues or those with very young children. Liked the property but could do with a very good deep clean!!

Nice cottage but like other people had commented lots of steps and quite hard to find house. I suppose it didnt help that there was scaffolding outside just down the step. Would have been nice to have a small welcome pack like tea, milk ect as we had driven 5 hrs and would have enjoyed a cuppa after our long journey. Good location but little things let the cottage down. We were asked to strip the bedding before we left to give the cleaner more time for the turn around. Im sorry to say we didnt think the cottage was clean enough when we arrived. We had to wash the cutlery and doors were dirty.
