An all-encompassing holiday destination with a shared outdoor pool, on-site gym, children’s play facilities and tennis courts encourage family-ready getaways on the Cornwall-Devon border. The light-filled lodge is a wonderful place to call your own after days filled with West Country adventures, including exploration of the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the vast Dartmoor National Park (8 miles) and beaches on Cornwall and Devon’s north and south coasts. On the coast, the appealing town of Plymouth is just a drive away (19 miles) or accessible via train from the neighbouring village of Calstock (3 miles). At home, find space for six guests to unwind in comfortable surroundings in a single-storey layout.

Amongst all the shared appeals of this holiday park, the property also offers a private patio space for sitting out and enjoying the sunshine. Moving inside, find a sociable lounge/kitchen/diner where memories can be made at mealtimes and through evenings of relaxation. The kitchen is thoroughly equipped with a table seating six at its centre, a spot to sit and raise a glass to celebrate an occasion or get out a board game and challenge your family members to a game or two. All three bedrooms, one double and two twins, are accessible off this open-plan space, and one bathroom and an additional WC serve the whole property.

Whilst there’s so much to do at home, you’ll also find plenty of appealing pastimes outside the property, reachable on foot or by car. The Tamar Valley Donkey Park is a particularly family-friendly attraction nearby (0.5 miles), a place to meet donkeys and other farm animals with a kid’s indoor play area for rainy days. Also nearby, discover the River Tamar (2 miles) with walking and biking trails that loop through the rich scenery of the Tamar Valley AONB.

The cottage is well situated, but the advertised attractions i.e gmes room and play area for children left much to be desired. The two swimming pools (inside and outside) where excellant and our grandchildre enjoyed using both each day.

Sadly the place was rather grim, it needs a thorough clean. That being said it is in an ok area for a quiet relaxing holiday, only a 30 min drive to Looe which is lovely.

Owners are amazing, they left a nice bottle of wine for us on arrival and surprised us with freshly made scones, homemade jam and cream. Also offered to do our washing! It's suitable for families as they have great facilities. The cottage could do with a little updating but had everything what you possibly need for a holiday.

Lovely Property . Excellent owners. The property had everything we needed for our stay. Nice peaceful location. kid's loved using the site both indoor and outdoor pool and games room. Wasn't too much of a drive for say Tesco or takeaway. Would book again. Enjoyed staying.

We had a fantastic stay. The accommodation was clean tidy and had everything you could need other than a washing machine. However, the owners chris and ang kindly offered to do our washing part way through our visit and even went the extra mile delivering us a homemade cream tea one day. The pool, gym and tennis courts were a brilliant bonus and weRead more would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a visit. Hide
