(12 miles) or explore the garden of RHS Rosemoor (5 miles). Then continue the fun at home in the nearby village playground or savour some sun in the garden.

Formerly a barn, this property has been built with comfort in mind. Step inside and discover the sociable open-plan kitchen and dining area. It's a lovely place to enjoy breakfast together before a day of exploring the coast. Then, when evening comes, cosy up in the lounge. Take your pick from a selection of board games or snuggle up in front of the TV before heading upstairs to one of three bright and airy bedrooms. Let sandy tones remind you of days by the sea before slipping into a peaceful night's sleep. Then why not start your day with coffee in the garden? Reached via an external metal staircase from the first-floor landing, the private enclosed space is great for catching some early morning sun.

Being so close to the coast, this property offers easy access to some great family-friendly days out. Explore the famous Pannier Market of Great Torrington (5 miles) or hop on your bike and take to the Tarka Trail (17 miles) for a wonderful stretch of traffic-free cycling. But North Devon's beaches are not to be missed. Enjoy lazy strolls along the golden sands of Westward Ho! (12 miles) or venture a little further for rock pooling at Barricane Beach (30 miles).

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and a great base for days out in Devon and Cornwall.

Lovely week away as a family comfortable clean and had everything we needed for the week. Location wasn't what we expected but that's our own fault for not doing more research into the area and how far away it is from local amenities like supermarkets etc most activities and days out are mostly around an hour drive away and we found the nearest beaRead morech still 25 minutes away this just meant a little forward planning involved for days out etc. Will had a relaxing time away though would recommend. Such a lovely clean house with brilliant facilities and the children loved the park. The area was lovely with lots of great walks and very peaceful. Would definitely recommend this house to stay in for a relaxing holiday.

Amazing holiday home, great for the kids with the park and field access via back gate, would definitely stay again as in great location for getting to both North Cornwall and Devon. The only thing that could be improved is a lock on the bathroom door! As apparently Grandchildren need to be with their Grandparents at ALL time

Convenient for several childrens attractions and good play area right behind cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Board games in the lounge a nice surprise. Three bedrooms but one really only suitable for children in bunk beds

A nicely decorated and comfortable cottage. Very well equipped. The location is great for exploring the surrounding area with nice towns/villages to visit and activities for the grandchildren. The playground and football field next to the cottage was ideal for the grandkids and felt very safe. We would thoroughly recommend it.

A fantastic break in a great location! The cottage was clean and welcoming. It was easily one of the best equipped cottages we have ever stayed in! The cottage is located in a quiet little village that is well placed for exploring all that the area has to offer - Westward Ho beach and Woolacombe were our favourites! There are some lovely walks and Read moretrails nearby which are great for walking the dog, as well as a play park directly outside the property! A well needed relaxing break, thanks! Hide
