Really enjoyed our stay - the walk down to the beach is wonderful and the location is very handy for visiting other places such as Clovelly and Hartland Quay. The cottage itself was lovely - very homely, clean and spacious. The extra bedroom and bathroom were great for the six of us and made our stay much easier. Would love to return in the future!

Everything about this cottage was what we were after in a holiday, clean and spacious. Brilliant kitchen to cook in. Living room ideal and bedrooms were perfect, just 2 of us went and we stayed in the main bedroom which was gorgeous. Just hearing the water at night was amazing and something I will deeply miss. The advice for the home and area Read morefrom the owners was super helpful and made us giggle at times. The garden was amazing, often ventured to the mysterious sections higher up. If you like coastal walking, this is amazing for you. Very big inclines and the thighs are still recovering. The beach is nice, very pebbly (large pebbles) but lovely to see the sunset from. Again quite steep to walk down too but worth it. If you like hiking/walking, walking sticks would be advisable although we were fine without. Overall, I would come back in a heartbeat, what a find! We had a fantastic Christmas week at Marks Cottage. 6 adults accommodated perfectly with plenty of room with 2 bathrooms. Ideally situated to walk to the beach or woodlands. We had a beautiful Christmas tree and decorations that made it feel so cosy. There is everything you could possibly need for a perfect week away and cooking on the Rayburn is aRead more doddle. Beautiful cottage and garden in a stunning location, but unfortunately it wasnt clean. There were cobwebs, hair; mould in the bathrooms, and the kitchen felt greasy and grimy. We stripped the beds before we left, too, and the pillows were heavily stained. It really took away from the experience, which was a shame as the house itself is gorgeous.
