Arrange a splendid group holiday at this substantial holiday home at Almiston Cross, 5.5 miles from Clovelly. Sleeping 18 guests, with a possible four extra, the spacious, eight-bedroom house, sits in sizeable gardens and is perfect for three or four families keen to escape together. Head 9 miles to the stretching, golden sands of Westward Ho! or find plenty of family attractions close by. Enjoy long walks along the South West Coast Path.

Wander into the house, which is close to the owner’s property but enjoys privacy. Make your way into the lounge to light the wood burner, watch the Smart TV or a DVD or listen to music on the CD player. Find there is a double sofa bed in here. Heading further into the house, you’ll discover the kitchen/diner, where you can prepare meals for your hungry party and enjoy the fun of dining together at the long table. Adjoining this space is a handy rear porch, with a WC close by. Climb the stairs to find five more double bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed and an extra single, another with an en-suite bathroom, another with bunk beds, and one with a separate single bed. There are also two twin bedrooms. Two shower rooms, one without a WC, are up here too. A family bathroom can be found up a couple of steps. Spill out into the generous garden when the weather is fine. Light the BBQ, play games and watch the children on the equipment. Find parking for up to eight cars.

Visit charming Clovelly, clinging to a cliffside and with impressive views. Take the younger members of your group to the Milky Way Adventure Park, 3 miles from the house, or the BIG Sheep farm park, 7 miles away.

Myself ,my three children with their families 13 in all ,spent a very comfortable and happy week at Alminstone house . Well stocked kitchen ,lemon cakes and a vase of fresh flowers on the table were a lovely welcome. Ample room for six grandchildren to play both inside and out in a great child friendly garden. The house itself was spacious, comfRead moreortable and warm. It was fantastic to be able to all sit around the kitchen table to share a meal, or spend quality time in the lounge all together. We were really happy with the house. It was spotless. It was perfect for our group family, weekend away. We were all able to sit together in the large kitchen & lounge. Sleeping accommodation and the down stairs layout was perfect. Great location for nice country walks, and the Thatched Inn in Abbotsham was outstanding for food and drinks.

We had a lovely stay celebrating my mum's 70th. The beds are very comfy and there is enough room in all areas of the house for large groups. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything we needed. Located within easy reach of a number of beaches and attractions.

Ample ,comfortable accommodation in which 3 generations could celebrate a 70th birthday.The outdoor space was ideal for rounders and cricket and enjoying lovely sunshine.Plenty of space for car parking ,away from the lawn area . The house has a home from home feeling and is well appointed and equipped. All of our family said they would return.

This was a perfect accommodation for a group get together. The rural setting is great for a getaway. The rooms were large & comfortable with ample bathrooms. We had everything we needed in the kitchen- plenty of plates, cups & glasses for a large party. The sofas in the lounge were very comfortable and it's a nice big space. We had a lovely group weekend at Alminstone. The house was perfect, clean, warm and welcoming with everything we needed and more. I would recommend without hesitation, Alminstone is fantastic for a group or a large family.

We had a lovely weekend stay as 4 families. Alminstone House was in a great location to explore the North Devon coast and there was plenty to do. Our children loved the facilities in the garden and there is plenty of space in the house with all the equipment you need to make meals together and relax.
