During the summer months, ferries leave from Appledore’s quaint quayside to nearby Instow beach and village, while the sandy stretch at Westward Ho! (3 miles) is accessible via the coast path. Other nearby attractions include the family-friendly Milky Way (11 miles), the beautiful RHS Rosemoor (10 miles) and the enchanting seaside village of Clovelly (14 miles).

The cottage was lovely, done to a high standard . Equipped with everything . Beautiful views over the estuary and lovely outdoor space. Location was perfect in Appledore, so close to everything. We would certainly return.

The cottage is lovely, and I do be suited to explore Appledore and the north coast of Devon and so of Cornwall. However, the steepness of the stairs has been somewhat downplayed I would say. The stairs are lethal, it would help if there were handrail even both sides, even if just a rope one. The cottage itself is lovely, very comfortable and well eRead morequipped.
