From its elevated position above the lovely village of Instow in North Devon, this property offers stunning views of the River Torridge, the fishing village of Appledore across the estuary and, on a clear day, Lundy Island. Only a few hundred metres away in Instow there is a sandy estuary beach, sand dunes and water to paddle in, as well as a selection of good pubs and eateries on the sea front with breathtaking views.

Sandy Bay is a comfortable bungalow which has been decorated nicely throughout to ensure you will feel at home. The lounge/diner has spectacular views across the rooftops to the estuary and beyond. The lounge now has a new Smart TV and a dvd player with a small selection of dvds. Its master bedroom boasts similar views, allowing you to enjoy your surroundings throughout the property. On summer evenings, you can sit on the terrace at the front, watching the sun setting as you enjoy a nice glass of wine. There is also a lawn to the rear, which is now enclosed, where you’ll find a summer house. Please note that any property with increased accessibility may have different levels of provision, so it is therefore advisable to contact us before booking.

This property is situated between the historic, market towns of Bideford (4 miles) and Barnstaple (6 miles) with their variety of shops, eateries, galleries and museums. From either of these places or from Instow itself you can access the Tarka Trail, a former railway line that offers a flat cycle-way for cyclists and walkers. The vast, sandy beach and clean surf of Westward Ho! is only 5 miles away and for families, there is The BIG Sheep (5 miles) and The Milky Way (12 miles).

Lovely bungalow in a fabulous location. Decor a bit outdated but really comfortable and spacious property. The summerhouse in the garden a lovely touch, really useful when the sun was shining but was too windy to sit outside

Sandy Bay is a lovely comfortable bungalow with amazing views . It is a little old fashioned but the bed and sofas are good . There is loads of parking and position in Instow are excellent for walking or using public transport . Its also not far from the coast path / Tarka trail .

Fantastic location, views and loads on private parking only a short stroll from the beach/pubs Very spacious and well equiped but felt like a "real" home. We even had Christmas decorations put up for us! Lovely helpful owners too Highly recommended

A very lovely bungalow that has everything you need for a holiday. The bed and sofas were all very comfortable. Nice to have the little summerhouse in the garden and even though it was November we were able to enjoy a cuppa in their a couple of times. The only thing for us was we felt the gate into the garden would have been better placed the otherRead more side of the kitchen entrance to the property, so we didn't have to get wet whilst opening the gate. Sandy bay bungalow was absolutely perfect. Very clean and well equipped. The owner Mrs Ford was very helpful and kept in contact to make sure everything was OK. The location is perfect with stunning views over the estuary and to Appledore and Instow is a lovely relaxing and friendly place to stay with everything we need. Property is very well located for exploring North Devon and the most Northern part of Cornwall- easy access to the A39. Superb views over the Torridge estuary and beyond to Lundy. Lovely bungalow in an elevated position with some nice views of the estuary. Comfortable and cosy, very clean, loved the large living room and the modern spacious kitchen. Beach and facilities around a 7 to 10 minutes walk. Recommend the art gallery in Bideford.

We had a wonderful time at Sandy Bay bungalow. Geeat location to explore North Devon. Clean, spacious, well equipped home with comfortable beds, good views and close to the lovely sandy beach and Tarka trail. Good pubs serving delicious food within walking distance. We stayed 6 nights and could very happily have stayed a lot longer as the location and views were amazing! We absolutely loved watching the sunsets over the estuary and Appledore from the huge picture window in the lounge after lovely sandy walks on the beach which is only a very short walk away (perfect for our little Westie with short legs!) This is a lovely well equipped bungalow within easy walking distance to the pubs, shops, tarka trail and of course the fantastic dog friendly Instow beach. Coming back is uphill, but then your reward is the great views from 3 rooms facing the estuary. We were lucky enough to enjoy a bit of February sunshine on the balcony too. This is a lovely comfortable bungalow in a very convenient position with a superb outlook. There is plenty of parking room which is a bonus. The wine and biscuits on arrival were very welcome!

Great position with lovely views, comfortable & relaxing house. Could do with ungraded on TV experience (Netflix or Sky), Internet woeful very intermittent to say the least.
