Located just seconds from Brixham’s Breakwater Beach, this delightful marine house couldn’t be better placed for a seaside escape. It boasts a seafront balcony, where you can enjoy breakfast alfresco as you watch the morning waves. Sleeping six in three bedrooms, it’s perfect for families looking for a traditional yet contemporary beach break.

On the ground floor, a king-size bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room, while to make the most of the view, the spacious lounge/diner and kitchen can be found on the first floor. Large windows and patio doors flood the rooms with light, creating a warm, restful space. Subtle nautical nods are found throughout, so wherever you are in the house, you’re not far from the sea.

Breakwater Beach is Brixham’s main beach, named after its impressive 0.5-mile-long breakwater. Here you can make your way out into the water and enjoy the incredible views back to town. It’s also a popular spot for fishing, as is the town’s harbour, which lies just 350 yards from the property. The harbour is also the starting point for many pleasure trips around the bay, to Torquay (9 miles by road) and to Paignton (6 miles by road). If you’re lucky, you may even spot the dolphins who visit Torbay from time to time.

Breakwater is well placed in Brixham as out of the main busy commercial centre but not too far away that you can't pop in on foot pretty easily. I always travel with binos and if you stay here I would strongly recommend you bring some as there's always something going on in the harbour and bay. If you like a bit of walking the coast path to Berry HRead moreead and beyond towards Coleton is definitely worth the effort. Hide

The property was not of the standard we expected of a 4 star property.when compared to other properties we have stayed in.. More care and attention needed to cleaning, mattresses poor quality, carpet in hall and stairs poor, laminated floors also worn and not well cleaned. recycle bins missing. An end terrace house located on a steep hill but has wonderful views from all front windows. This is an older property where some additional maintenance is needed to improve presentation, security and comfort. Some windows are stuck, doors don't fully close, and balconies need to be painted. Occasional tables in lounge would be useful and shelves/cRead moreupboards in the bathroom/en-suite. are absent. Beds are hard side and the pillows are a bit thin. Lovely property. Nicely furnished. Well equipped. Amazing sea views. However - shower rooms need shelves for toiletries and grab rails in the showers. DVD player doesn't connect to TV. Lovely furniture on the balconies but the balconies themselves need cleaning and painting. None of these things are really of major importance but when staying for 2Read more weeks the little things can make a difference. Overall, a lovely property and the view makes up for everything. The property boasts wonderful views of the harbour and as the sun comes around in the afternoon the balconies are a fantastic place to enjoy all the activity on and off the water. So good to have parking under the house.

Apart from the unsuitable arrangement of all three bedrooms having double beds, the cottage was perfectly located with spectacular views over the harbour and bay from all therre balconies. We had all necessary facilites that were in good order and appreciated the on-site parking directly next to the entrance door.
