Our third stay at Boatman's and once again we were lucky with the weather which means so much in an idyllic position, which is second to none, like this. Looking out over the estuary is so relaxing. The accommodation is spacious and relatively well equipped. All the shops, pubs etc of Appledore are within a short walk. We were fortunate with being Read moreable to get roadside parking for the week but in any event the public car park is close by. Hide

Lovely place to stay. We enjoyed watching out over the estuary. Lots to do nearby. Boatmans is delightful and well equipped. Only downside is Iraha street can still be noisy well after midnight, making it impossible to sleep in the smaller bedroom at night.

Boatmans is a very traditional fisherman's cottage and the constantly changing views from the cottage as the tides came in and out were beautiful. A fantastic location with a short walk to all the attractions in Appeldore. Many nearby locations to visit including Barnstaple, Enstow, fabulous Clovelly, Hartland Abbey, Lynton and Lynmouth and TintageRead morel. Parking is a challenge in the narrow street. Highly recommend purchasing a ticket in the carpark next to the cottage for the length of your stay. Hide

Position is the key. Overlooking the estuary and within a few minutes walk of all the shops, pubs and cafes that Appledore has to offer. As with the vast majority of the properties along Irsha Street there is no allocated parking but we always managed to get a space very near the cottage and in any even the council car park is only a minute away.
