You'll think you're dreaming when you wake up in this adorable and unusual cottage. Its exterior is straight from Hobbiton, with a sweet thatched tower and original brickwork, and its interiors are packed with country character and period features. Your family will love hiding away here before heading out to enjoy the beach and the magical moors of Exmoor National Park.

Step in to this family cottage and you'll find a beautiful living space. On one side is a light and cosy lounge, with a quaint inglenook fireplace and wood burner. Exposed beams lead to your formal dining space on the other side of the room. A sweet country kitchen is next door, and leads into your spacious, enclosed garden; sit on the patio and soak in that fresh air. When you've exhausted the Devon day, head upstairs to bed. Two romantic double bedrooms have antique furniture and pretty decor, and there's also a bunk room that's ideal for holidaying kids.

The cottage enjoys a fabulous location between the sandy beaches of the North Devon coast and the wild countryside of Exmoor National Park. Head west 14 miles to the popular seaside resort of Westward Ho!. Partake in a water sport or two, take a ride on the carousel, or simply pack your bucket and spade and head to the beach. Around 13 miles in the other direction will bring you to the outset of Exmoor, where you can ramble, cycle, and adventure your way through wild habitats, beside rivers and streams.

Cottage was ok but cleanliness very disappointing. One of the double beds was awful. Quiet location.

Lovely cottage which stayed very cool despite being during a heatwave. Very well equipped cottage that was very spacious. The garden was great for our two dogs. Lots of wildlife seen.

Lovely cosy cottage with a great enclosed garden for dogs, very quiet and relaxing, a great suprise when not only pheasant but a red legged partridge appeared in the garden! Good suntrap on a sunny day . Everything you need at the cottage including a large wood burner and wood supplied and would definitely come back.

This was such a welcome break. The cottage was spotlessly clean, tidy and everything we could have wanted was available to us, we were quite sad to leave! The garden was well maintained and secure, so our Frenchie has a great time soaking up the sun and enjoyed the space. Absolutely will rebook

Other than the garden everything else was great. As we spent a lot of time in the garden it s neglected state came up frequently in conversation.

If you are not a confident driver on narrow single lane tracks and happy to reverse around blind corners, this isn't the cottage for you. The cottage was very dirty, smelt very musty and had broken kitchen drawers that one of thr children injured their hand on whilst we were there. There was no mop and no spare towels. The oven was absolutelty disgRead moreusting inside and lm so glad we took our own air fryer with us as couldnt ise the oven.It would be a lovely cottage if someone put some tlc into it. Hide

We really loved the cottage. It was the perfect size for our group. It was slightly further out in the countryside than we had realised but this didnt affect our stay. The cottage has everything we needed including a high chair and travel cot, beds were comfy and we loved relaxing by the fire of an evening!
