This stylish, detached property is set on a 30 acre smallholding, close to the quaint village of Chulmleigh. Meeting the neighbours at this property is a little different; see some of the farm animals including sheep, goats and chickens, which are all kept on-site. After a busy day in the Devon countryside, why not sit by the wildlife pond and enjoy a glass of wine, or a meal in the undercover outdoor dining area?

The property has space for the whole family to enjoy, with an open-plan contemporary lounge/kitchen/diner making it a great spot to cook, eat, and unwind together. In the colder months, snuggle up in front of the wood burner and make use of the underfloor heating on the ground floor, which will soon leave you feeling toasty. In summer, open the ample windows and awake to the cool country breeze, taking in the far-reaching views. 

Step away from the refreshing farm life and explore all that Devon has to offer. Visit the sandy beaches of North Devon at Saunton (24 miles) and Woolacombe (29 miles), or lace up your walking boots and explore the splendour of Dartmoor (16 miles) and Exmoor (19.5 miles). For a more urban day trip, take a ride on the pretty Tarka Train Line and visit the market town of Barnstaple (17 miles). Closer to home though, you’ll find riding stables, a golf course, pubs and shops in Chulmleigh (5.5 miles), plus walks from the doorstep.

We had a wonderful week during our stay at Westyard Farm. It's incredibly peaceful here, with lots of space and great things to do in the area, like visiting the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks. You can also easily spend a whole day enjoying the property itself having a picnic by the wildlife pond, walking through the woods, or simply soaking uRead morep the silence. The owners, Karen and Steve, are such kind, calm, and helpful people. Already hoping we can return someday. Hide

Nine pines is beautiful, the barn itself is beautifully finished and luxurious the surroundings are peaceful and whilst everything is a bit of a drive we found plenty to do with two little ones. Karen and Steve are fab hosts. We had a few minor issues and they came to sort them straight away.
