Make this delightful cottage your home from home when you head to Brixham on the English Riviera. Sleeping four guests, the characterful, three-storey retreat, which was once home to a fisherman, sits at the heart of the colourful Devon town. From here it is just 0.5 miles to the popular beach at Brixham Breakwater or 1.5 miles to St Mary’s Bay.

Leave your beach shoes or walking boots in the porch when you enter the cottage and wander on through into the lounge. Settle in the light-filled lounge to watch a film on the Smart TV, read your books or make plans for the following day. Amble through to the delightful, farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to make a cup of tea or prepare the next meal. Open the top of the stable door in here on summer days to bring in a sea breeze. Dine together at the wooden table. When you are ready to retire for the night, make your way up the steep, cottage-style staircase to the first floor. Here you will find an inviting family room, with a double bed and a small single for a child. The family bathroom is also here. Head on up to the second floor to the double bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room and impressive views over the town. Have your first cup of tea of the day out in the seating area next to the house. On summer afternoons follow the steps down into the lawned garden to read in the sunshine.

Wander through Brixham, pottering in the shops, dining out and visiting the museums. Book a boat tip out from the harbour to go fishing or dolphin watching. Pick up the South West Coast Path and take in the views as you walk through the Berry Head National Nature Reserve.

Lovely house. Beds very comfortable. Rooms light in the morning, could do with better window coverings. Expected noise from seagulls/church bells but got used to both quickly. Great for access to Brixham - be prepared for very steep hills. Steps to access house are steep/uneven in places. We often managed to park in roads behind the house - roads aRead morere narrow and steep. Parking easy in the suggested Oxen carpark (seemed busy in the day but fine for getting in after a day out). Great short break Hide

Nice little cottage, in a great location for exploring Brixham, just a short walk to the bus stop and local amenities. Please note there are a number of steep step to climb up to the cottage and inside the cottage. The location is very close to the church and the bells chime every 15 minutes. We had a lovely stay, cottage is fab-a typical fisherman style cottage. Lots of steps to get to the property, not suitable if you cannot walk up many flights. Friendly neighbours, lovely little communal garden too. Cottage right next to the church, which chimes 24/7 , cute though and you get used to it. We would return and we loved our stay. PlentyRead more to see and do around the local area. And a fantastic local Pub only down the road, which we used most evenings, had fun playing their boxed games! Hide
