A double bed and two singles (the latter suitable for children) provide flexible sleeping accommodation, and there are chests of drawers for storing clothes. The adjacent camp kitchen includes two gas hobs, a small oven, cookware, a cool box and washing-up facilities, and there’s a nearby composting WC for those middle-of-the-night trips to the loo. In the site’s shared barn you’ll have your own fridge with freezer compartment and a private shower room with WC, as well as shared facilities that include seating around a wood burner, a long dining table and additional cooking facilities. After a day exploring, grill something tasty on your BBQ and dine al fresco on the deck, or gather round your fire pit for an evening of storytelling under the stars. In the surrounding grounds there’s plenty of room for games, as well as a meadow maze to enjoy. Another benefit is private parking for two cars.
From the yurt you can directly access some of Devon’s most beautiful scenery. An early evening walk up to Culmstock Beacon (4.5 miles) will reward you with beautiful sunset views, for example. In Tiverton (14 miles), there are markets, shops and cafes as well as a castle and a canal with walks and water sports. Alternatively, head to the beach in Sidmouth, just 16.5 miles away.
