Wow ! That was our response when arriving at Thatch End cottage. A truly beautiful property to spend our week vacation. The place was spotless and had everything you could think of, and even more ! The location was superb too in an almost peacefully quiet village with the Williams Arms pub approx 50 metres away - their nightly carvery is the besRead moret ! The hostess of the cottage, although not actually getting to meet her, was lovely - she even arranged for a brand new baby highchair to be provided for our grandson when he joined us later in our week, plus the lovely touch of scones, cream, jam and milk for our arrival. Having arrived home only 2 days ago we are already looking at dates in 2027 for which we might re-visit. Hide

We had a wonderful time in Thatch End; the cottage was beautiful decorated and very cosy; It was very dog friendly, with a safe enclosed courtyard and walks along the River Caen to Velator Quay or Knowl Water via Mill Lane. Bikes can be hired nearby and the cottage is close to the Tarka Trail and South West Coastal Path
